Christyn Budzyna is a musical theatre lyricist based in New York City.
Works include: THE PRINCE AND THE WOOGLEFOOF (with Anthony DeAngelis and Jessica Penzias, upcoming productions at Stimulus Children’s Theatre and Fuse Productions), BAKED GOODS (with Helen Park and Charlie Cohen, 2016 Sound Bites Festival, winner of the 2017 City Theatre Summer Shorts Festival, winner of the 2018 Sam French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival), THE FOX SISTERS (with Anthony De Angelis and Jessica Penzias), BOTS! (with Denver Casado and Jessica Penzias, Beat by Beat Press commission), and “The Lights Before Christmas” poem. (Bank of America commission performed by Jane Krakowski at the Bryant Park Christmas Tree Lighting Skate-tacular ).

Christyn was awarded the 2017 City Theatre National Award for Short Playwriting for her work on BAKED GOODS. The piece will be published and licensed by Samuel French Inc. in the coming year. Christyn is a member of the Dramatists Guild and the Tony Award-honored BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. She has a passion for writing code as well as writing musicals, and works as a web developer for The Public Theater.
