Christyn Budzyna is a musical theatre lyricist based in New York City.  Her musical, THE PRINCE AND THE WOOGLEFOOF, with music by Anthony De Angelis and book by Jessica Penzias, has been optioned by Ask Yourself Productions LLC, and anticipates a New York debut in 2018. The trio is also working on a musical adaptation of the history of the founders of Spiritualism, the Fox Sisters. 

Her short musical written with composer Helen Park, BAKED GOODS, was performed at the 2016 Sound Bites Festival and is currently being performed in City Theatre's Summer Shorts 2017 festival in Miami. Christyn was the recipient of the 2017 City Theatre National Award for Short Playwriting along with her collaborators.

Her work has been seen in many venues around the city, including the Laurie Beechman Theater, The Duplex, and NYMF. She is an alumna of the Advanced BMI Musical Theatre Workshop, and a member of the Dramatists Guild. Christyn has a passion for writing code as well as writing musicals, and works as a web developer for The Public Theater.
