Christyn Budzyna is a musical theatre lyricist based in New York City. Her musical, THE PRINCE AND THE WOOGLEFOOF, with music by Anthony De Angelis and book by Jessica Penzias, will debut in Philadelphia in the fall of 2018 as part of Stimulus Children’s Theatre’s 30th anniversary season. The trio is also working on a musical adaptation of the history of the founders of Spiritualism, the Fox Sisters.

Her short musical written with composer Helen Park and librettist Charlie Cohen, BAKED GOODS, was performed at the 2016 Sound Bites Festival and at City Theatre's Summer Shorts 2017 festival in Miami. Christyn was the recipient of the 2017 City Theatre National Award for Short Playwriting along with her collaborators.

Her work has been seen in many venues around the city, including the Laurie Beechman Theater, The Duplex, and NYMF. She is a member of the Advanced BMI Musical Theatre Workshop, and of the Dramatists Guild. Christyn has a passion for writing code as well as writing musicals, and works as a web developer for The Public Theater.
